Tuesday, December 18th, 2007Carrigaline Under-Age GAA Celebrate a Successful Year
The Annual Social of Carrigaline Under-Age GAA Club was held on Friday Dec 7th in the Club Pavilion. About 150 players from under-11 to under-16 along with many of their parents were in attendance. Guests of Honour included Daithi O Donovan (Club President), Billy Walsh (Club Chairman), Micheal McSweeney (Secretary of County Bord-na-nOg), Pat Spratt (Schools Coach), Nicholas Murphy ( Cork Senior Footballer) and Conor Hurley (Cork Minor Hurler).
Under-Age Club Chairman, Bernie O Mahony welcomed everybody and paid tribute to the various teams, their mentors and parents who had contributed in making 2007 a most successful year. He paid a special tribute to the management and players of the Under-16 football team who had brought the County Premier Championship title to the club for the first time. He also thanked Pat Spratt for the great work being done in conjunction with the teachers in the local schools.
Medals were presented to the various teams in recognition of their successes in Carrigdhoun competitions during 2007. Liam O Regan, captain of the under-16 footballers, Conor Hurley and Nicholas Murphy presented the medals.

Following the presentations refreshments were served to the adults in the Club Lounge while the players had the opportunity to win some attractive spot prizes in the hall.
